The San Diego North Economic Development Council, along with other regional security technology developers and service providers, has formed SafeNet International, a nonprofit organization to accelerate the economic opportunities for the emerging security technologies industry sector in Southern California.

Security Director: City Not Prepared For

Major Disaster

SAN DIEGO - San Diego has extensive plans for a moderate-size or localized emergency, but the city's Homeland Security director said local resources would not meet the demands created by a major disaster. Hurricanes Rita and Katrina were both wakeup calls for San Diego.
